Clear Bra Thoughts

I have a friend who swears by the clear bra he had put on his Ferrari. He says it protects very well against rock chips & scrapes. It doesn't look bad, but you can see the line. He had the front fender, hood, rockers, behind wheels and door handle done.
An auto body guy recommended against it as saying that just like paint you get dings in the clear bra & need to have it replaced, and said something about it turning color over the long run? For the price of the clear bra (around $2K for the DB9), you might as well have the bumper re-painted every few years.
Other than a strip club, anyone have personal or second hand experience with clear bras?

I have one on my 07 Aston and after 4 years it is still doing well. It's on tungsten silver and doesn't show too much. When you sell a car, you don't want to confess that you've had the front repainted.

I've always thought clear bra is a good idea in theory. The product has evolved and does not have the same problem turning yellow anymore.
The main problem I have had is when you do get a rock chip in the clearbra and go to replace it, pulling the plastic up brings up paint sometimes. It is then a question of who is going to repair it, the service facility, clearbra installer, or customer.
I think its a great product, but I've been on the wrong end of things to many times.

I've got Lambo customers that wrapped their cars completely, head to toe. It has it's advantages and disadvantages.

If you do it, the best way is to have someone do it that can wrap the film over the edges so it's hardly noticeable. I prefer the Ventureshield brand, it has the best clarity.
