Clear film

I am planning to remove the front clear film on my car ,can you please tell me if this is something I can do ,or do I have to go to the dealer..

From what I have read, you need to heat the film with say a hair dryer, working from an edge. Continue to heat the film as you slowly peel from the surface. Once you have taken it from the car, the residual glue can be removed with a conventional solvent.
