Default DB7 2000 Check Engine light

Hi all,

Just purchased a DB7 2000 in British Racing Green

So I went to the gas station, filled up with 93 octane, closed the cap (seemed secured) and drove home. No light. Next morning, check engine light tripped. Called the dealer, they said to secure the fuel cap and then in a few driving cycles it will go away. did 5 already, no luck. Any idea what it can be?

Thanks!!

I would suggest connecting a OBDII code reader and seeing exactly what it is instead of guessing. If you don't own one, some auto parts stores will read a code for you (maybe reset it too?). The ports on my U.S. DB7 Vantage are behind where the glove box should be. The panel pulls downwards. I can't remember if it's the top or bottom port, but only one will work.

I think you guys measure octane differently over there. In the U.S. it is RON + MON/ 2.

Thanks! I think I will get the codes first. The nearest dealer is 50 miles away, so hopefully a local shop will do it for me.
