My car (2001, V12 Volante)has been standing in a garage since October.
Started up yesterday and drove out of the garage and back in again just to let the tyres stand on another spot. Now, what happened was the warning light for the gear box suddenly woke up. What is this??? Is says it has something to do with the electronics inside the gear box.....or will it disappear again when I start to really drive ??? Thanks for your input! //B// |

To be honest I am unsure.
I assume you have an automatic transmission on your car? If it's stood for a while it might just be that the fluid hadn't had chance to pressurise and circulate properly. How long did the engine run for, prior to switching off and the light coming on? |

....was running for 30 mins, but the car was standing still and it was at least 10 degrees centigrades below zero at the time.
I think the automatic gearbox oil was too cold ..... There is no other explanation. Will check again when the spring is here.....whenever that will be.... Thanks, //B//
