Last 2009 Ferrari F430 to be Auctioned off for Charity

We’ve seen several cars auctioned off for charity recently, such as the first 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Ferrari is auctioning off its last-ever 2009 F430 to raise money for Abruzzo, an area in Italy hit by an earthquake last month.

The F430 will be sold this weekend at the RM Auction of Ferraris in Maranello. It will feature a two-tone paint scheme that reflects the traditional colors of L’Auila, the city hit the hardest by the earthquake.

The Ferrari will be a one-off with the winning bidder heading to Ferrari’s factory in Maranello to choose the final specifications for the car. It is expected the car will be equipped with several options from Ferrari’s Carrozzeria Scaglietti. It also will come with a certificate signed by Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari chairman, and a dedication plate to account for the donation.

Ferrari says it will work with local authorities from the region to make sure the money goes to those who need it most.
