Need help with rough running and door panel removal

My friends Virage V8 starts but wont idle below 2000rpm, it seems to be running very rich as plugs foul quickly and sooty exhaust. Please help me by suggesting some ideas. Also how do you remove door panel as I need to get to central locking motor. Thank you very much in advance.

Could be a long list of things causing the poor idle. Strongly suggest you take it to a good mechanic to get it looked at properly.

Someone mentioned that is could be some pipes to do with the engine management going brittle and leaking? What pipes could this be? I would have thought that if it were any pipes carrying a vacuum from the plenum chamber / inlet manifold, that would cause it to run rough but not rich. Please help, many thanks.
PS How do you remove the door cards?
