Default New Vantage owner with quick question!

Hi,

I've recently bought a 2009 Vantage Roadster and seem to be having issues with the sportshift on hills! How do people find it best to deal with rolling backwards with the sportshift?! When I use the handbrake and give only a few revs prior to release it smells as though the clutch is burning! Any advice much appreciated as this is my first 'automatic' and not a problem I've had to tackle previously!

Thanks

AC

The clutch smell is a modern era Aston "trait" on occasion, there is a dealers fix that can help reduce this - also with the Sportshift you do need to spend time learning how to best make use of the system. Give it time and if you still have the issue have chat with your dealer. A.N..

I use the footbrake and be ready to apply the gas.
