Default Noise from brake pads

I wonder whether anyone can help with this....on my DB9 there is a continual sound of high pitched squealing when after I have applied the brakes. The sound goes away when I brake. The pads are good - only 5000 miles on clock, recently checked at service. The Service specialist claims that this common on all DB9s, in that it is caused by a hard brake pad compund alloy which makes the noise as wheels turn and push the calipers away from the brake disc. He cannot suggest a solution to my car sounding like a commercial vehicle when it moves off slowly or slows down slowly. Really takes the pleasure out of listening to the V12 roar, when you have this high-pitched whinig sound continually!!

Does anyone have a similar problem ? Any solutions ?

I had a similar problem with brakes squeeking on a F355 a few years ago. Changed the pads and the problem went away.
