If there's anyone interested, there's a new review up on Topspeed, on the DB9. It's pretty nice made, and quite informative (features, design, etc).
Also has a few selection of videos and pictures of the DB9 in action...

They write "The name 'DB' is derived from David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin."
It's kind of funny, how an owner of such a huge company would place his initials in the name of a sports car :)

I believe DB was used as part of the model name more out of homage and respect to an owner who carried the company financially through trying times, than as an ego trip by Brown.

Sir David Brown - Heir to the Brown Engineering empire bought Aston Martin & Lagonda in 1947, and as rightly pointed out by Boxer, steered the company through some troubling times. He sold his interest in Aston Martin in 1972 but was appointed "Chairman for Life" in 1991. He sadly died in 1993...A great, great Englishman.

...as far as I'm concerned he earned the right to have his initials adorn the cars he built, by the company that probably wouldn't exist today if it wasn't for his foresight.

Given what I have heard about the current state of the Aston business, they may need to bring back a few of his decendents. Aston is definitely facing tough times right now.
