THE GUYS ON THE CORVETTE FORUM WERE MUCH MORE HELPFUL AND RESPONSIVEALSO LIVLIER BUT I'LL TRY AGAIN. THE 2000 VANTAGE VOLANTE I JUST GOT HAS AN ELECTRICAL CORD IN THE TRUNK NEXT TO THE BATTERTY. IS THIS FOR A BUILT IN CHARGER? AND IF SO WHERE IS IT DESCRIBED IN THE OWNERS MANUEL? BOB:confused:

This would be an aftermarket addition. Check the battery terminals to see if clips have been added for a charger.

Yea, Boxer's right, aftermarket charger. You should have a port next to the battery off switch for a factory maintainer.

Consider that there are far more Corvettes around than db7's.
My '03 Vantage Volante has a 3-prong charging receptacle proximate to the CD changer and battery.

All DB7's had a 3-pin XLR connector next to the battery disconnect switch.
I would carefully check any and all free cables prior to connecting power to them.
In the past someone might have installed a 3rd party CD changer or amplifier etc.
