hi i just got a 2000 vantage volante and am still kind of stunned i've probably want a am since i was 17. i really never figured i'd ever get one but being in the car business thisdeal appeared out of nowhere so i jumped i'm still learning about the car the various models etc. so if i say something stupid sorry. anyway got this 2000 black convertible with red interior 5000 miles on it for the low 60's and got a great price for my 08 vette.but there's a problem the car only starts half the time. the tech thinks the remote is screwed up because it won't turn off the security system so after 2 days of loving the way the car rides i got sick of getting stranded so it went back to the dealer today so they can reset the remote codes and check it out any thing i should know? or any tricks i'm missing ? anything i can find out about the car would be great anyway it's a blast when it starts

there's an electrical cord right next to the battery in the trunk of my 2000 vantage volante. i assume that's for a battery charger? and where is it mentioned in the owners manuel?

I just bought a 2000 DB7 with 5000 miles and my comments are about the same as yours; car is very impressive for fit/finish/ride etc BUT does not start most of the time. Maybe we just literally "joined the club." What did you find out about yours?

I too am a new member; just bought a black 2000DB7 (ex Michael Jordan) in May and it does not start about half the time as well!! Battery is fine, the security system senses the key and shuts off, clutch depressed al lthe way, starter button is totally limp / nothing happnes when you push it....what did you find out? Steve
