Wow, I bet it was amazing. Will probably hold it's value very well with it's limited numbers. Was the suspension harsh? I heard it was beefed up for the extra weight.

From one who knows, the steering is not rough or rigid. It is tight but perfectly balanced and very easy at low speeds as well as flying. I couldn't be happier.

That looks great. Is this a weekend car or will you be driving it regularly? Without putting your foot down, what feels different about this car?

Mostly weekends. There really is no similarity to the V8. The brakes, handling and revs are all different. The interior is the same quality as the other AM's. The console and controls are upgraded and the Nav is 10 times better.

I would have to agree with Jay on the driving dynamics of the car. I've driven two of them now and all the controls feel great. The only thing was on the tungsten car I drove this weekend it took a bit more clutch travel than I'm used too for it to hook up. As a result I had some pretty comical getaways from red lights...but nothing that more time behind the wheel couldn't cure.

It is wonderful!!! It's amazing how much difference the sport button makes. A friend of mine joined me to go look at the car on Saturday and one of the sales guys took him out for a ride. I tried to get a quick video of it but the other sales guy was talking to me so I couldn't the vid. All the videos out on you tube don't do it justice...once you hear it in real life it's something that you'll never forget!!!

I have been told it sounds like a DB9 with the Quicksilver Sport Box, what do you think?

Left mine in Dallas for it's annual maintenance this week and got a ride back to my hotel in a V12 Vantage. The very first thing I noticed was the sound. Nice but it could probably bother one. It is always there, not just when the power was down. Long term it could be intrusive unless the extra noise doesn't bother you. The power was amazing. Crisp, fast, linear acceleration. Pretty awesome. I liked it. Mine is an O7 roadster and the V12 will only be available in coupe and stick. I would not trade my convertible and paddle shifting, but that's just me.

I traded my 08 SS roadster in on a V12V. I have always loved 6speeds so it wasn't a loss for me but I will say that I did enjoy the paddles and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I have to believe that the V12 that you were in had the sports button depressed because without it the sound is much more subdued. I had a sports exhaust on my V8 roadster and I loved the sound. I have even considered changing the exhaust on the V12 to get better sound at low revs without the sports button engaged which boosts the power by quite a bit. Having said that, there is no getting past the immense power that this car delivers. Frankly, I find myself concentrating so hard on driving, I often don't hear the radio or the exhaust. May be when the weather here in the east, I will get a chance to tool around with the windows down and enjoy all of the audio that this beast has to offer.

Had you done much modification to your V8 and is the V12 (in your opinion) a whole lot better than a fully modded V8. Now that mine is out of warranty, I'm considering some upgrades and still have the top down occasionally. The V12 is an awesome car. I look forward to hearing further reports.
