2000 DB7 Kenwood Stereo

It looks like a nice enough head unit, with a CD changer etc., and it flips away nicely when you turn off the ignition... but the screen is as dead as the proverbial dead dingo's appendage. Is there more than one fuse for the stereo perhaps (since the flip mechanism is working) or has the unit died?

I'm loath to rip it out if it's just a simple fix... but I would like to replace it with an iPhone hook up. Everything else then becomes redundant I suppose. In which case, any recommendations for a unit that fits into the existing space and wiring?
