I agree with Semitone. You can get an OBD reader pretty inexpensively and for these cars it's worth it. It will tell you what's going on. Oftentimes - not ALL times - there are things you can do yourself if you're relatively handy/mechanically inclined. Of course I like working on cars. Not everyone does. To me it's part of the ownership experience. I didn't buy my Vantage for commuting. I bought it for the thrill it gives me in driving it - and in taking care of it. But frankly it has been extremely dependable. They really are very well made cars. That's why they're 'pricey'. They're worth it! Good luck!
