Hello,

Has anyone had issues with not being able to get the car out of park without several tries to get the solenoid to retract. Have you replaced the solenoid or was that not the problem. I know that there is a switch on the brake pedal and a controller next to the shifter. I have everything disassembled but the shop manual I have to remove the solenoid from the shifter is different that mine.

Any help would be awesome!

mine just began failing..!

Unfortunately I do not have a service manual for my 02' V12 Vantage, but came to the same conclusion...failing solenoid. Before attempting to remove the consol pieces surrounding the shift lever, I thought it wise to ask someone who already has dealt with the problem. My question is what must be removed in order to access the solenoid, and what is the procedure to make that happen without breaking expensive things? Hopefully you'll be kind enough to share your experience with me...any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance..
