Just an introduction from myself

Hello, new to the forum and have a 2008 V8 Vantage convertable. I have had the car for about 6 months with little use due to winter and Covid. The car has done 26k miles and is a manual 6 speed gearbox.
I am hoping this forum has some good technical advise as I hate taking my cars to main dealers or any garage for that matter. I did have a low mileage Jaguar 2007 XK convertable before this and it's only problems were the electronics and resetting them. As I have developed a similar problem with the Aston it sound like I have jump out of the frying pan into the fire.
I do have a code reader with the Aston software so I now need to start investigating what my problem is. I am hoping this forum has some technical guys for advice.
