Hello:

I've been keeping an eye out for a used AM for a few months now. I still haven't decided whether to buy a new Mercedes or make the jump to a used AM. I test drove a Vantage but I'm curious to see if a DB9 has a different feel. I just like the fact that the DB9 has four seats. The Vantage is just a two seater. I am still not sure if I want to trade my car in or keep it. Also, I wanted to find out about extended warranty costs. Any feedback would be appreciated....

Ok, so I hope for you to purchase an AM.

Well, as you said the V8 is just a 2seater coupe and the DB9 has 4seats... but this is not the real diffrence because the DB9 is not a real 4seat its more 2+2 becuase you cannot drive it with 4 adults in the car.

The bigger diffrence between the DB9 and the V8 is the engine... witch the V8 has just 4.3 liter V8 and the DB9 has an amazing V12 6.0 liter engine. The performance of the DB9 is much more easy - super powerful GT car.

If you drive the Vantage V8 is a fun super-sport car that offers you fun drive and much more agresive than the DB9.


I think that the Db9 is more DD car than the Vantage

Thanks Prestiga... As my first Aston, I decided on a Vantage but this week I am deciding if I want an 08 model with 25k miles or an 07 with 6k miles... Tough choice... I will definitely get an extended warranty....

Hi, I must say that the best option is the Vantage V12, so quick and clean, and I happen to have one for sale. Let me know if you have any questions its practically new with less than 1K miles...

Copelandcf: I would love to have a 2011 but my price range would realistically be for an 07, 08 or an 09 V8. Private message with details if you would like.

Boxer: The local dealer found the 08 I referred to above from another dealer, but after finding out that it had a little bit of damage to the front and the car was not 5 stars / points, they nor I were interested anymore. This local dealer is willing to take in and auction my boat as part of the deal if they find me a car. They currently have a sapphire blue with cream puff interior 07 roadster with 6k miles but I'm still not convinced yet since I found other dealers asking less for 08s and some 09s,

I found an 09 black with sahara tan interior roadster in California but they won't take my boat I want to trade in so I'd have to sell my boat first ... Decisions Decisions...... This is taking longer than I thought.....

I have definitely decided on getting the Vantage. The one shown above is gorgeous! I never thought green calipers would look good on a car, but with black exterior and moon shadow interior its just absolutely beautiful!

Btw I still have a V12 vantage for sale, I know you were looking for a V8 I think, but I price dropped to $155k for a carbon black with 1k miles, pretty much a great deal at that price.
