Hello Everyone,

I am brand new to this forum & while not an Aston Martin owner, definitely an enthusiast. I signed up today because I am working on a project for a friend that I need to finish up for Christmas. He owns a Vantage and the project involves the key to the car. I am wondering if any of you own a vantage and could give me the overall dimensions of the key? I am looking for the overall length, the width of each end, and the thickness. I've included a picture of what I believe to be the correct key. Due to this being a surprise, I am keeping it under wraps for now, but I will gladly get back to you with the finished pictures after the holidays.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry matey but this sort of information asking is a bit suspect and you should go to a main Aston dealer to obtain it once you can clarify the info required is genuine.
Far too many car thieves out there today who gather this sort of information so as they can go and steal folks cars.

Not suggesting you are one either but it pays to do these things properly.

Thank you for the reply, while I can understand the concerns you express, I cannot understand how the simple overall dimensions of the 'emotion control unit' could in any way a assist a thief in stealing a car.

In order to sound less 'suspicious' let me explain that the purpose of my project is to create a wall mounted holder for the 'emotion control unit' for a close friend as a gift. This will be performed in the machine/fabrication shop that I own and operate. I obviously cannot ask him for his emotion control unit without revealing my intentions. Simply, I am trying to save time and frustration by creating the holder the correct size the first time, rather than giving him a gift that does not fit the control unit.
