Just purchased a 2002 DB7 Volante--my first Aston Martin! Chiltern Green, Fawn Interior and Burr Elm trim with automatic transmission and 23k miles on the odometer.
I've been looking for a while, and this color combination, reasonable mileage and good PPI were compelling. I wanted a "grand tourer" for regional roadtrips, driving tours, etc. I also wanted a naturally aspirated engine, and the sound on the V12 is outstanding.
Look forward to learning from experienced AM owners on this forum--my current experience is with my '93 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce and '82 Fiat Spider 2000 and its been great to learn those cars and enjoy that driving experience. I think I'll be more comfortable on the interstate at speed in the DB7....
We live in Annapolis, MD, and I'm on the lookout for local driving events and programs with the AM owner community. I also joined AMOCNA--it looks like they have a Mid-Atlantic chapter.
Appreciate the chance to join this online community!
