Hi Everyone,

Although I found this forum a few months back, this is my first post on here. I ordered my first Aston Martin back in April of this year and it just arrived last month. One of my business partners had also ordered one at the same time, but his was delayed until after Christmas. So that said, we were going to pick them up at the same time, but I simply can't wait any longer so I will be picking mine up on Christmas Eve. I have been a huge fan of Aston Martin for years and I can't tell you guys how excited i am.

Car Details: Aston Martin Vantage sportshift meteorite with anthracite rims and red calipers. The interior is two tone kestral tan dash, doors and outer seats and outer steering wheel with black seat inserts and door panels all with offset kestral and black coarse stitching and custom kestral stitching on the door insets. Carpet is black with kestral tan stitch piping.

I will do my best to post pictures as soon as I pick it up and get the windows tinted. I have been debating putting aftermarket rims on the it, but I have not seen any rims that I have fallen in love with more than the stock anthracites (I'm super picky about wheels and don't want to chance putting any wheels on it that will cheapen her beauty) :)

I will also be changing out the stereo with one from Reus Systems. I won't be swithcing out the head unit at all as i don't want to mess with the aesthetics or electronics in the car; only the speakers and amplifiers. I'm not sure how many Aston owners are here in Southern California and have used them before, but they truly do the best stereo work of any compnay I have ever used. They do all of my other cars (currently a Mercedes CLS and Range Rover Sport) and their work is impeccable. This wasn't meant to be a plug I promise but I'm a huge audiophile and car stereos have always been my first love when it comes to cars. The Aston's cabin should make for a beautiful soundstage I'm hoping; hard to gauge the acoustics until you get the car. :)

Anyhow, sorry for the super long post. I just wanted to say hi and ask a few questions since everyone here seems very knowledgable.

Any recommendations on the exhaust? My inclination is to just open it up (I believe the dealership said they can do this so it opens up at 1400 rpm's?) I also spoke with a friend of mine who has one who said there is an easy way to open up the exhaust so it is wide open at all times? Any thoughts on this? needless to say the exhaust note is probably one of my favorite characteristics of the car as i'm sure it is for every Aston owner. There is no other sound like it!

Also, any recommendation on wheels? Should I just leave them alone? I looked at Kahn but I am not 100% sold on them:’s-aston-martin-db9s-styling-pack/

That's all for now! I'm really excited to be a part of this forum and look forward to talking with all of you!
