I ordered my 2026 Vantage in a gorgeous Storm Purple, with an Oxford Tan interior as soon as the configurator was available in January. I've had several Astons, but none that were brand new.
When I was restoring British cars in the 80's (these were the good old days without internet, so you had to go to England for parts), I had a contact that took me to a shop that restored Astons by a guy who drove for Aston. He was almost done with a plum-colored DB6. I would have brought that one back with me ($10K), but it was a 1966 DB6 model. It would not have met many of the DOT standards implemented that year. I didn't want to chance being able to register it, so I passed. That's when I said, I am going to own a purple Aston one day.
I currently own a 2023 Vantage, and this car is leaps and bounds above it in styling and features, inside and out. I appreciate that they have brought back the distinctive strike on the side vent that, for some reason, they removed for the 2023. Delivery is due in September.
