Each wheel sensor has an ID. If you get new Aston sensors which I believe are part number CG33-360671-AA and you have the older SmartTire system only the dealer can reprogram the car to talk to the sensors. Newer Aston's have a self learning system. There are two other alternatives, with care you can replace batteries inside sensors - there is YouTube video that shows this. Another alternative is to use an aftermarket sensor that can be cloned to match the ID of each individual sensor on the car. See this discussion for that option: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/aston-martin/416049-smartire-tpms-cloning-replacement.html -
The AM sensors are very expensive ( $241 each !! ), then you add dealer fee, that's over a 1K -- I plan to try and clone the sensors when I replace tires. Another alternative is you can get a disable harness for the TPMS system and go back to manually checking tires like the old days.
