Is there an emblem or plaque on the underside of the DB7 hood. The car I'm looking at has a rectangular opening in the center of the hood (bonnet) pad and it appears something should be in there.

If someone would be so kind would you please post a picture.

Thank you.

No emblem or plaque on that spot on the hood (bonnet liner)

From memory that rectangular recess is for clearance purposes and/ or to divert some cooling airflow over the radiator support to the valley of the engine where the fuel injection is located.

The hood to engine clearance is quite tight on both DB7 variants (i6 supercharged and V12)

I can post a photo tomorrow sorry am a bit busy today.

Heres the photos of the squarish area on the bonnet liner that is open.

Looking closely Its not for clearance, I think its to admit some cooling air to underneath the fuel injector valley cover (painted blue on my car).

May come in handy in very hot climatic conditions.

Photo 1 pointing at the area (please excuse state of finger)

Photo 2 Where air travels to area (over radiator support panel)

Photo 3 Gap between radiator support and fuel injector cover that corresponds to uncovered square on the bonnet.
